Animal Feed Probiotic Manufacturer — Direct-Fed Microbials for Gut Health & Immunity
Heat-tolerant direct-fed microbials with guaranteed CFU counts at end of shelf life — selected by species, validated through pelleting, and formulated to colonise the gut and prime immunity, not just survive the bag.

What We Supply
Species-Appropriate Direct-Fed Microbials with Pelleting Tolerance
Probiotics in animal feed work when the right strains reach the gut in sufficient numbers. Most commercial DFM failures come from strain mismatches — using human-derived Lactobacillus strains in poultry feed, for example — or from inadequate processing stability that kills the bacteria before the animal eats. We solve both problems.
Our animal feed probiotic portfolio is built on strains with species-appropriate gut colonisation evidence, not just in-vitro pathogen inhibition data. For pelleted feed, we default to spore-forming Bacillus species whose endospores survive conditioning and pelleting at 90°C and germinate into active vegetative cells in the gut. For applications requiring Lactobacillus or Enterococcus, we use microencapsulated formulations with validated pelleting survival.
Every probiotic product is supplied with CFU count verification at manufacture and stability data demonstrating viable count at end of declared shelf life — because a probiotic that doesn't deliver the declared CFU count at the time of feeding delivers nothing.
Regulatory & Quality Standards
EU Feed Additives Regulation 1831/2003 (Category: Gut Flora Stabilisers)
EU-approved DFM strains and maximum inclusion rates for animal feed applications in European markets.
AAFCO / FEDIAF Approved Probiotic Strains
Approved microorganism list for direct-fed microbials in companion animal food in North America and Europe.
FAO/WHO Expert Consultation on Probiotics (2002)
Definition and safety assessment framework for probiotic use: live microorganisms that confer a health benefit.
Codex Alimentarius CAC/GL 48-2004
International guidelines on the use of microorganisms in animal feed additive safety assessment.
FSANZ / EFSA Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS)
Safety status framework for probiotic strains used in food and feed applications in export markets.
WHO GMP (Current)
Manufacturing, fermentation, and QC standards governing commercial DFM batch production.
Product Range
Animal Feed Probiotic Types We Manufacture
Bacillus Spore-Forming DFMs
B. subtilis, B. licheniformis, and B. amyloliquefaciens in high-potency spore concentrates (1×10⁹–1×10¹⁰ CFU/g). Spores survive pelleting at 90°C+ and germinate in the gut. Proven FCR improvement and Salmonella competitive exclusion in broilers.
Species & Applications
Lactobacillus & Enterococcus Premixes
L. acidophilus, L. reuteri, L. plantarum, and Enterococcus faecium in microencapsulated forms for pelleting tolerance. Primarily used in swine starter, calf milk replacer, and companion animal applications where mash or low-temperature processing is used.
Species & Applications
Multi-Strain Probiotic Blends
Synergistic multi-strain formulations combining Bacillus spore-formers with Lactobacillus and Saccharomyces for broad-spectrum gut microbiome modulation. Strain ratios optimised for target species and production phase.
Species & Applications
Live Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)
Live Saccharomyces cerevisiae cultures for rumen fermentation stabilisation in dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, and horses. Reduces rumen pH fluctuations, improves fibre digestibility, and supports dry matter intake during high-concentrate transition periods.
Species & Applications
Aquaculture Probiotic Premixes
Water-stable Bacillus and Lactobacillus formulations for fish and shrimp feed. Pathogen competitive exclusion against Vibrio species in shrimp and intestinal bacterial balance improvement in tilapia and salmon. CFU retention validated through pelleting and water immersion.
Species & Applications
Synbiotic Premixes (Probiotic + Prebiotic)
Combined probiotic-prebiotic (synbiotic) blends where the prebiotic fibre (MOS, FOS, inulin) selectively feeds the probiotic organisms after gut colonisation. Enhanced colonisation persistence compared to probiotic alone — particularly effective in post-antibiotic gut recovery.

Technical Capabilities
How We Manufacture & Validate Animal Feed Probiotics
Probiotic quality is not about the label claim — it is about the viable count that survives processing and reaches the animal's gut. Our manufacturing and QC programme is designed to guarantee that count at every step from fermentation to feeding.
Fermentation-Controlled Strain Production
Fed-batch fermentation under controlled pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen conditions to achieve maximum viable count and spore conversion rate. Harvest timing optimised per strain.
CFU Verification by Selective Plate Count
Strain-specific selective media plate count and qPCR for every commercial batch. Results confirmed by an NABL-accredited laboratory before dispatch.
Pelleting Survival Validation
Probiotic formulations tested through simulated pelleting at 75°C, 85°C, and 95°C with steam conditioning. Post-pellet CFU recovery reported as a percentage of pre-pellet count.
Shelf-Life Stability Studies
Real-time and accelerated stability studies at 25°C/60% RH and 40°C/75% RH. Minimum CFU count at end of declared shelf life confirmed before commercial launch.
Antibiotic Resistance Screening
All probiotic strains screened for transferable antibiotic resistance genes — critical for export markets and responsible DFM use in antibiotic-reduction programmes.
GMP-Controlled Batch Production
Clean-room production environment, dedicated fermentation equipment, and full batch traceability from fermentation inoculum to finished premix CoA.
