This is what separates a sport-market premix from a general supplement ingredient.

Each commercial batch CoA we issue documents: declared nutrient levels versus target specification, heavy metal results (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) from NABL-accredited laboratories, microbiological status, and — for sports nutrition batches — the outcome of WADA Prohibited List screening. The CoA is issued per batch, not per product or per year. This matters because contamination can enter at any point — a raw material substitution, a cleaning failure, a cross-contamination event. A batch-level CoA means every shipment your brand receives carries its own independent test evidence, which is the documentation standard Informed Sport and NSF auditors expect when they review your ingredient supply chain.

How does our documentation support brands pursuing Informed Sport or NSF Certified for Sport?

Both Informed Sport (operated by LGC Group) and NSF Certified for Sport require brands to demonstrate ingredient-level risk management, not just finished-product testing. A premix supplier with documented prohibited-substance screening, NABL-accredited CoAs, and a contamination-control programme satisfies the ingredient risk-management requirements in both certification schemes. Our documentation is structured to be audit-ready — batch records, screening data, and declarations of manufacturing controls can be submitted directly as part of your Informed Sport or NSF certification application.

Is WADA Prohibited List screening the same as Informed Sport certification?

Accepted Answer

No — they are related but distinct. WADA Prohibited List screening is a testing methodology: it checks whether a substance is present above a detection threshold. Informed Sport certification is a third-party verified programme (run by LGC Group) that certifies a specific product batch has been tested using that methodology, with results independently verified and the manufacturing environment audited. NutraX Biotech provides WADA-consistent screening and audit-ready batch documentation; the brand applies for Informed Sport certification separately, using our test data as part of its ingredient evidence file. We support that process — we do not apply for product-level certification on a brand's behalf.

Which substances are covered in the screening, and how are limits defined?

Screening covers the major prohibited classes relevant to micronutrient premix contamination risk: anabolic agents (including synthetic androgens and selective androgen receptor modulators), stimulants (amphetamines, ephedra-class compounds, methylhexaneamine and related), diuretics and masking agents, and hormone peptides at trace levels. Detection limits are set to satisfy WADA minimum required performance limits (MRPLs) where defined, and to the lower levels required by Informed Sport and NSF for substances without an MRPL.
